It has come to our attention that some foreign nationals are receiving scam phone calls about not filing Form AR-11 (the form to change your address with USCIS). The caller claims to be a USCIS officer. The call can come from a random number or will use a spoofed number that will show up as USCIS (or similar). It is certainly possible that this trend will morph into different types of phone calls (ex. your visa has been revoked, etc.). Please know:

  1. USCIS will not call you directly. The only time USCIS calls someone is if you call USCIS and USCIS indicates that they will call you back. In that scenario, the officer on the phone will give you the specific phone number that will be used to call you back.
  2. If someone calls you claiming to be a USCIS officer, do not give them any personal information. You should hang up as soon as you realize it is a scam.
  3. If you are concerned about anything regarding your immigration status, you can contact us or contact USCIS directly using the USCIS phone number or the Emma chat system.
